We are currently recruiting for an Operations Officer to join our Operations Department located at our Head Office in Inverness.
This role is based on a 35‑hour contract, working Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend work will be required on a roster basis to meet on-call Duty Operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Liaising with clients to gather required information for aircraft task planning and coordination.
- Proactively manage operational tasking to ensure seamless coordination due to weather constraints or as a result of changes to client requirement.
- Effectively manage client expectations with clear communication of any task changes or updates.
- Liaise directly with the Operations Manager to understand scope, priorities, and resource requirements within their area of responsibility of helicopter tasking.
- Work closely with other departments such as Sales, Engineering and Accounts as required.
- Allocating resources such as crew, aircraft and equipment for operational tasks.
- Manage travel arrangements for flight and ground crew.
- File aircraft Flight Plans and General Aviation Reports as required.
- Coordinate training for Flight and Ground crew
- Monitoring pilot flight time limitations
- Flight tracking
- Maintain operational administrative systems.
- Processing sales and purchase invoices
- Work as part of the out of hours ‘on call’ duty operations roster to ensure full operational coverage
Key Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, personable and confident
- The ability to convey information clearly and professionally internally and externally
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Strong IT skills
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a small team
- Flexible attitude to working patterns
- Full UK driving licence
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
