We are currently recruiting for a Ground Crew to join our busy team. The nominal operating base for this role would be our Inverness or Cumbernauld Base however this role would require time spent away from base working at remote locations across the UK and Ireland.
This role is full-time, based on a 40-hour contract operating on a roster-based. The working hours are predominantly Monday to Friday; however, flexibility is required to cover occasional weekend work.
This physically demanding role involves working across challenging terrain and in varying weather conditions. It would suit someone who enjoys outdoor work and is comfortable working in all seasons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the full range of helicopter operations, both at base and on-site at external locations
- Working closely with pilots to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations
- Refuelling helicopters from bulk tanks, bowsers and drums
- Management of helicopter fuel supply
- Towing of fuel bowsers or trailers loaded with equipment
- Preparation of remote operating sites to ensure safety of the helicopter and personnel
- Preparation, rigging, checking, acceptance and hooking on/off underslung loads
- Liaising with on-site client personnel
- Continuous oversight and monitoring of helicopter operating site safety
- Helicopter loading / unloading and passenger briefing / handling
- Maintenance / husbandry of helicopter support equipment
- General duties as required
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills with a high standard of spoken English

- Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Ireland
- Ability to navigate by road
- Flexible approach to working patterns
- Full UK Driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
Advantageous:
- Similar or relevant experience of outdoor activities
- Mechanical or Electrical Knowledge
- Driving Licence B+E entitlement and experience of towing trailers
- Previous experience working within construction, groundworks or aviation industry
- Forklift licence or previous experience
Training:
- Full training will be provided, including classroom based, practical exercises and on the job training
- Relevant statutory and industry specific training (HSE/ADR/Forklift/First Aid/Manual Handling etc.)
