Responsibilities
The Operations & Safety Director has overall responsibility for ground operations and the management of our larger contracts. They are also responsible to the Chief Executive for ensuring that the company complies with all health, safety and environmental legislation and regulations, advising on HSE matters and working with other departments to ensure effective control systems are in place and their obligations are met.

Iain joined PDG in 1999, having worked for several clients of the company as an Engineering Manager. Iain started his career with PDG as a Ground Crewman in support of aircraft in the field and became Forestry Crew Chief in 2000. This hands-on experience proved invaluable when Iain moved into the Operations Department in 2004 where he quickly became a valued member of the team as an Operations Officer. Iain was appointed as the company’s Safety Director in 2016 and combined this role with the Operations Director responsibilities in 2021. Iain is also a Director of our subsidiary Irish Helicopters Limited.
