We are looking to expand our Sales Department and are seeking a Sales Aviation Specialist to join our team at our Head Office in Inverness.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and customer-focused professional to play a key role in supporting our commercial activities, building client relationships, and contributing to the continued success of the business.
This role is a permanent full-time role, based on a 35-hour contract. The working hours are Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 however, these hours are subject to vary to meet operational requirements which may include occasional weekend work for attending different events and networking activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer enquiries including the assessment and development of solutions, preparation of quotation and responding to availability requests.
- Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with customers and prospects including the ownership and update of Key Account plans, meetings, visits etc.
- Evaluate suitable aircraft types and capacities to provide customers with optimal solutions.
- Coordinate and collaboration with operations on crewing and aircraft availability.
- Manage customer and enquiry database and general administration activities related to the sales cycle process.
- Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on our solutions capability to existing and prospective customers.
- Gather and maintain market activity and competitor analysis awareness via networking, researching and analysing the markets/sectors.
- Develop and maintain knowledge and expertise of the company’s products and services.
- Representing the company in a professional manner at various business events, conferences etc, as required from time to time.
- Delivery of a strong credible pipeline of opportunities.
- Produce statistics, reports, trends etc in relation to customers and prospects.
- Perform general administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate customer records and processing transactions.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in a similar sales, customer service, account management, or aviation support role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Strong customer service skills and a commitment to delivering a high-quality client experience.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy when handling bookings, enquiries, and documentation.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Confidence in working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Good commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to support business growth.
- Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing customer and operational requirements.
- Professionalism, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
- Full UK Driving licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous experience within the aviation sector would be advantageous; however, it is not essential, as full on-the-job training will be provided.
