Trainee Operations Officer Vacancy


PDG Aviation Services is one of the leading on shore helicopter operators in the UK and Ireland. We are now looking to recruit a Trainee Operations Officer based at our Head Office at Dalcross, Inverness. This is a full time permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

- Liaising with clients to gather information for the construction of aircraft task job sheets
- Organising and planning helicopter operations and liaising directly with the Operations Manager on all aircraft tasking within their area of responsibility
- Liaising effectively with the Sales, Engineering and Accounts departments
- Allocating Pilots, Ground Crew, aircraft and equipment for tasks
- Making travel arrangements for staff
- Word processing documents and electronic information
- Maintenance of company operational administrative systems
- Being part of the duty ‘on call’ operations roster

Key Requirements:

- Excellent communication skills, personable and confident
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Computer literate
- Ability to work using own initiative and as part of a small team
- Flexible attitude to working patterns
- Similar or relevant experience particularly in the aviation industry would be advantageous
- Good geographical knowledge of the UK
